Technical Services Engineer – Pre & Post Sales Support Sydney

Tripleplay Services is a specialist provider of IPTV, video streaming and digital signage software designed specifically for the enterprise market. An opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Services Engineer to join our team.

As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing pre and post-sales support to our client’s customers supporting our Sales team from a technical perspective. You will also be tasked with supporting internal systems and networks.

Specifically, you will assist customers with designing their system architectures, provide technical input into proposals, customer demonstrations and support colleagues at trade shows. You will provide post sales commissioning, implementation and branding of our applications. Assist resellers with installations and commissioning and act as a technical point of contact.

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake travel to both customer and reseller sites throughout Australia.

To be considered, you would ideally have:

– Unix and/or Linux experience including basic shell scripting, editing config files, XML
– Experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, PHP

– Networking experience with TCP/IP and basic switch configuration

As a Technical Services Engineer, you must have a strong attention to detail with an articulate and interpersonal approach. Collaborative and team-oriented, you must have good problem-solving skills and a keen customer focus. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a pre and/or post sales support role.

Experience of IPTV and video streaming systems would be advantageous to your application.
