Sony and Tripleplay to deliver IPTV, VOD and digital signage solutions into healthcare, hospitality, education facilities and stadiums

Sony Australia has teamed up with Tripleplay, one of the world’s leading digital signage and IPTV companies, to deliver IPTV, video on demand and digital signage to stadiums and to healthcare, hospitality and education facilities across Australia and New Zealand.

The two companies have formed a strategic partnership that combines Sony hardware and Sony’s expertise in the design and delivery of complex broadcast systems and studio installations with Tripleplay’s specialised IP media solutions designed for corporate, education, hospitality and healthcare installations.

Sony has been working closely with Tripleplay elsewhere in the world for some time on a variety of projects. At the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in South Africa Sony screens carry video on demand, IPTV channels and live broadcasts in all areas of the stadium. Sony also provides digital signage showing live games, advertising for concourses and dynamic menu boards in food and beverage outlets.

The Sony Tripleplay solution also enables all content to be scheduled and zoned so that the correct content is on the correct screens at all times. Sony screens can also be controlled remotely and linked to emergency systems so that fire alarm notices or emergency messages take priority and are displayed automatically.
